The image object shows a backlit view of a group of trees from four cardinal directions on each side. The meditative aura of the painting is reminiscent of Romantic paintings. As we circle the object, we walk, as it were, through the landscape we see inside. It is a typical North German expanse with car headlights passing by on the horizon, inconspicuous extreme flooding and barely visible tree damage. But inside and outside are reversed; we are on the safe side, our feet stay dry, and we can relax and project our ideas onto nature, wallowing in the illusion that everything is still fine and that science is exaggerating wildly. We just have to tune in to the channels we like to receive the news we want. But the radio control panel on the box is non-functional. And the entire object seems riddled with wormholes, as if it were on the verge of collapse, even if the supposed history of the housing is a fake.
